THE OAK PARK NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION is devoted to preserving and improving the Oak Park neighborhood. Oak Park is a distinctive neighborhood within the City of Santa Barbara bounded on the north by Mission Creek (in Oak Park), on the south by Sola Street, on the east by State Street, and on the west by the 101 Freeway. The area encompassed by the Oak Park neighborhood comprises approximately 437 acres.

The neighborhood is made up of older homes that are increasingly being replaced by multiple family apartment and condo developments. Development of the neighborhood has been influenced by Cottage Hospital and the medical complex surrounding it.
